Great Fun Learning is built upon my lifelong passion for teaching and especially for turning difficult technical subjects into easy-to-understand educational material.
I am an engineer by education with a Ph.D. in optics from the Technical University of Denmark. During my carrier I have got a fairly deep knowledge within a large range of technical areas including optics, electronics, micro-electronics, mechanics, quantum mechanics, communications, spectroscopy, and much more.
From 2010 to 2022 I was the VP of Sales and Marketing of Ibsen Photonics and helped them grow their spectrometer business from 5 mioDKK to 100 mioDKK. As part of that journey, I build the sales strategy and personally handled direct sales of technical solutions to OEM customers. On the marketing side, I created all technical content, held numerous webinars and trade show presentations and managed two complete new website launches in WordPress.
In a nutshell, I have a fairly unique combination of deep technical understanding, good writing skills and hands-on experience with sales and marketing.
